SPP301 (Avosentan) is a potent and highly selective ET[A] receptor blocker and is clinically investigated in diabetic nephropathy. This study was designed to evaluate whether avosentan influences the pharmacokinetics of steroid oral contraceptives.
Cơ Chế Tác Dụng : SPP301 (Avosentan) is a potent and highly selective ET[A] receptor blocker and is clinically investigated in diabetic nephropathy. This study was designed to evaluate whether avosentan influences the pharmacokinetics of steroid oral contraceptives. Avosentan has effect on the concentration levels of ethinylestradiol and progesterone. That’s why it is possible that the contraceptive efficacy of low-dose combination oral contraceptives may be adversely affected during avosentan treatment.
Chỉ Định : Investigated for use/treatment in cardiovascular disorders and neuropathy (diabetic).
