SOT-107 is a drug that is a combination of a protein called transferrin and a poison called diphtheria toxin. This drug treat for a type of brain cancer called a high grade glioma brain tumour. About half of all brain tumours are gliomas.
Cơ Chế Tác Dụng : SOT-107 is a drug that is a combination of a protein called transferrin and a poison called diphtheria toxin. This drug treat for a type of brain cancer called a high grade glioma brain tumour. About half of all brain tumours are gliomas. Its mechanism of action involves transferrin-mediated delivery of a modified diphtheria toxin that is capable of selectively killing cancer cells. The agent is administered directly into the glioma using convection enhanced delivery to circumvent the blood-brain barrier and achieve high local concentrations of the drug.
