Integrins are associated to the pathology seen in some of the autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. R1295 is an integrin antagonist. As leukocyte integrins are key molecules in immune-mediated and inflammatory processes, R1295 may treat human inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
