IMC-A12 is a highly specific recombinant human monoclonal antibody with high affinity for the insulin-like growth factor-I receptor (IGF-IR). IGF-IR is overexpressed in a variety of tumour types. It is developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
Cơ Chế Tác Dụng : IMC-A12 is a highly specific recombinant human monoclonal antibody with high affinity for the insulin-like growth factor-I receptor (IGF-IR). IGF-IR is overexpressed in a variety of tumour types. It is developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. IMC-A12 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the type 1 human insulin-like growth factor receptor (IGF-IR). Tumors have receptors for the insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-I), and it is thought that the presence of these receptors cause tumors to grow. IMC-A12 attaches to the receptors and may inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
