AEZS-130 (EP-1572) is novel peptidomimetic growth hormone secretagogues (GHS) which represent a new class of pharmacological agents which have the potential to be used in numerous clinical applications. They include treatment for growth retardation in children and cachexia associated with chronic disease such as AIDS and cancer.
Cơ Chế Tác Dụng : AEZS-130 (EP-1572) is novel peptidomimetic growth hormone secretagogues (GHS) which represent a new class of pharmacological agents which have the potential to be used in numerous clinical applications. They include treatment for growth retardation in children and cachexia associated with chronic disease such as AIDS and cancer. Growth hormone secretagogues (GHS) are a potent regulator of lipid, sugar and protein metabolism, that directly stimulate growth hormone (GH) secretion from the pituitary gland without the involvement of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GH-RH) or somatostatin. The lead development candidate, EP-1572 is a novel peptidomimetic GHS with potent and selective GH-releasing activity in humans.
