C1-INH is human pasteurized C1-inhibitor concentrate to treat patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE), a rare genetic disorder that can lead to painful and sometimes life-threatening attacks of edema (swelling) of the face, airway, abdomen, and extremities.

The C1-esterase inhibitor (C1-INH) is a regulatory protein that functions as an inhibitor of several serine proteases in the complement system, the kallikrein-kinin the coagulation cascade and in fibrinolysis.
